BerlinRetune Festival

The Retune Festival is a biennial event at the intersection of Art, Design, and Technology. Happening from September 27 – 28, 2018 in Berlin. In its fifth edition, the Festival will bring together over 500 creative pioneers across 2 days.

Experience and rethink the role of technology in talks, panels, workshops, studio visits and performances.

In the quest for speculative futures, the festival explores the role of art, design and culture in digital transformation. The event questions in playful, critical and creative ways how technologies like IoT, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and interactive spaces will shape tomorrow’s society.

The festival acts as a “think-and-do-tank”: Visitors can get inspired by internationally renowned creatives, and experiment with future ideas and technologies in hands-on workshops. The idea is to challenge the status quo and common practices.

Day 1 – Sep 27th

// Conference Program //
An exciting conference day with international keynotes, talks, discussions and performances will be taking place at Silent Green. The former crematorium and now a beautiful event space in Berlin-Wedding will welcome you and our speakers!

// Performance Night //

Day 2 – Sep 28th

// Satellite Events //
On the second day, we take the Festival into the city. Satellite events in art and design studios all over town offer workshops, talks, exhibitions, and open-studios.

Satellite events will take place at: FELD | studio for digital crafts, schnellebuntebilder, kling klang klong, Futurium, NEEEU, Technologiestiftung Berlin, VVVV – Visual/Textual Development Environment, DAM, and many more.

// Closing Night //
We are closing the Festival with a performance and club night at the amazing STATE Studio, the new permanent art & science space by STATE Festival. Expect a super sweet line-up with performances by Pandelis Diamantides, Florence To & VanTa, Lukas Truniger & Nicola Hein, installations by Pfadfinderei, Milz Studio, Thomas Blanchard and Oilhack and a club night with the fabulous Hoe_Mies.
