Talk: Steffen Sommer – „From Reality to Virtual Reality – and back: 3D Laserscanning and its usecases“ Besides photogrammetry 3D laser scanning (LIDAR) is one of the technologies involved in capturing spaces and environments for later use in the digital domain. This talk will give a brief introduction and illustrate the many possible uses of a 3D scanned data sets.

Talk: Gayatri Parameswaran and Felix Gaedtke (NowHere Media): „Photogrammetry scanning in hostile environments“ — Felix and Gayatri – creators of the volumetric VR documentary Home After War (https://www.homeafterwar.net/) – talk about the challenges of documenting stories of war from Iraq. What it takes to use photogrammetry and stereo capture to tell the real life story of a humanitarian crisis.“
